Nyaa Direct Sync
Learn how to configure your fansub group's own Nyaa credentials, test login sessions, and understand differences from platform proxy.
Configuring Nyaa direct sync automatically submits your anime releases from AniBT to Nyaa using your group's own account credentials.
Security Recommendation: Please register a dedicated bot account on Nyaa for AniBT sync rather than reusing personal account passwords.
Direct Sync vs. Platform Proxy
Before configuring, determine which method fits your team:
- Direct Sync (This Page): Uses your team's own Nyaa username and password. No whitelist approval needed from AniBT; works immediately if your account can post on Nyaa.
- Platform Proxy: AniBT's official account uploads to Nyaa on your behalf. Ideal for teams without a Nyaa account or facing regional network blocks. Requires whitelist approval.
Setup Workflow
Verify Nyaa Account Access
Sign in to nyaa.si in your browser and ensure the account has active posting privileges and is in good standing.
Enter Credentials in AniBT
Navigate to your fansub console at /groups/<slug>/sync, find the Nyaa Sync card, toggle it on, enter your Nyaa username and password, and click Save.
Test Account Connection
Click the Test Account button. AniBT will verify the login session. This test only checks authentication validity and does not upload any test torrents to Nyaa.

Nyaa descriptions and full release notes
AniBT preserves your full release notes. Account-based sync and platform publishing inherit those notes by default. Notes longer than 10,240 characters are shortened at complete paragraph or Markdown block boundaries and include a link to the full AniBT release page. If no block can be included safely, only the full-description link is sent. Your original notes remain unchanged.
Sync details show an excerpt notice only when that successful upload actually used an excerpt. Older records and torrents already present on the external site do not receive this notice retroactively.
