Nyaa Platform Proxy

Learn about the AniBT Nyaa upload proxy for whitelisted fansub groups, eligibility criteria, torrent creation rules, and publishing workflows.

AniBT provides an official "Nyaa Platform Proxy" service for verified fansub groups to resolve regional network restrictions and account barriers when distributing anime releases overseas.

Strict Quality Standard: AI-upscaled, visually degraded, or low-bitrate re-encoded releases are strictly prohibited from applying for or using this proxy service. Any abuse will result in permanent revocation of proxy privileges.

Direct Sync vs. Platform Proxy

Understand the differences between direct Nyaa sync and platform proxy before configuring:

Whitelist Application Criteria

Teams meeting either of the following criteria may apply by contacting support@anibt.net:

  1. Standard Path: At least 10 successful, compliant releases published on AniBT.
  2. Accelerated Path: New fansub groups needing immediate international distribution can submit recent release links from other major BT trackers (e.g., DMHY, Mikan) alongside proof of original fansub production.

Torrent Creation Requirements

Platform proxy normalizes the tracker list to put the Nyaa tracker first. The torrent info dictionary and infohash remain unchanged. Prepare the torrent with these requirements:

Include the Official Nyaa Tracker

When generating the .torrent, its announce or announce-list must include:

Nyaa Official Tracker
http://nyaa.tracker.wf:7777/announce

Torrents lacking this announce address will be rejected immediately by our ingestion guards.

Specify Valid Nyaa Category

You must provide an appropriate category code. For most non-English translated anime, choose 1_3 (Anime - Non-English-translated). See the table below for standard codes.

Respect Release Notes Limits

AniBT preserves your full release notes. Account-based sync and platform publishing inherit those notes by default. Notes longer than 10,240 characters are shortened at complete paragraph or Markdown block boundaries and include a link to the full AniBT release page. If no block can be included safely, only the full-description link is sent. Your original notes remain unchanged.

For platform publishing, a custom Nyaa description takes priority and is never shortened automatically. AniBT accepts up to 20,000 characters in this custom field; this does not guarantee acceptance by Nyaa, which may reject a long description. You can preview inherited text before publishing; the placeholder link becomes the actual release URL after publication.

Sync details show an excerpt notice only when that successful upload actually used an excerpt. Older records and torrents already present on the external site do not receive this notice retroactively.
